(She/Her)
3–6-Year-Old Co-Lead Guide

I was born and raised in central California where I had the joy of being part of a big and bustling family. The oldest of five with parents who worked very early hours, we spent the weekdays with my Nana and my aunt on my dad’s side of the family before and after school, and the weekends were spent with my mom’s large family at all-day gatherings at my grandparents with giant pots of food, music being played, spontaneous dancing, and stories shared.

It wasn't till much later that I realized I was gifted with an abundance of caregivers and the seedling of want to become an educator. One of my part-time jobs in my first year of college was working in a preschool classroom, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that it was meant to be my profession. It has been my great joy to find in young children some of the most creative and present people in the world.

Moving to the East Coast to continue my education, I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Special Education and found that the beauty of this section of the world felt like home. Since then I have had the opportunity to work in many different programs with varying philosophies/pedagogies and with children from diverse demographics. Montessori is the most recent educational philosophy I’ve trained in, and I am so captivated by the intentionality, respect for beauty, the way humanity and harmony with the natural world are viewed as essential, and the understanding that human development is ongoing and a foundation that cultivates grace and understanding is essential for such a journey. In my free time, you might find me reading, running, taking long walks in nature, eating, enjoying yoga, and hopefully traveling to far-off lands once more.
